Adelaide's alt. Shout That "They've Always Lived In The Castle" On New Single

For a bleak message, the Adelaide faithful present it with an urgency and bounce.

Adelaide alt-metal outfit alt. have a powerful new track in "They've Always Lived In The Castle," in which they channel sounds of bands like Linkin Park before them. While nodding to Pump Panel's recent remix of the New Order classic "Confusion," they bring a driving guitar riff and electro elements into an anti-authoritarian message, and the result is an anthem of rebellion and a call to action.

In discussing "They've Always Lived In The Castle," alt. have the following to say:

"'They've Always Lived In The Castle' is a rallying cry for revolution. It confronts a world where power has always protected itself. Where the wealthy remain untouched, and those at the top tighten their grip while the rest are left behind. The song channels the anger and urgency of a breaking point, a moment when people decide they’ve had enough and rise to reclaim their lives."

"But revolution comes at a cost. The first strike sparks a brutal retaliation from Nephilim Corp, unleashing violence that leaves thousands dead. What begins as defiance quickly becomes a war and the fight for freedom is only just beginning."

The song marks the band's second single thus far in 2026, following on from the more aggressive and very nu-sounding "Sucker Punch" released in early March. The band have not announced a new album or a tour at this time, but as alt. have been releasing music frequently in the last few weeks, it may only be a matter of time. They are currently signed to SharpTone Records.
