The appearance of musicians in horror films is a time-honored tradition, with names like Alice Cooper, Dee Snider, and Ozzy Osbourne making their marks on the silver screen throughout the years. Now, Butcher Babies singer Heidi Shepherd joins that class of thrashing thespians, as she is set to appear in the Scott B. Hansen (Bad Candy) picture Devour, which is set to release later this month.
This makes for a busy October for Shepherd, as Butcher Babies are set to drop Nightbloom tomorrow, October 2nd, via Judge & Jury.
The synopsis for the film reads as follows:
Stranded after a concert scam, an all-girl heavy metal band and their vampire manager, stumble into a town ruled by a warlock and crawling with cannibals, vampires, sirens, and a monstrous werewolf. When they encounter a pregnant woman in danger, a search for help turns into a night of supernatural chaos, ranging from Minotaur-run betting rings to brutal creature confrontations. The band must unleash hidden powers to stay alive, blending heavy metal, dark humor, and creatures into a blood-soaked, chaotic survival ride.
Devour is produced by Flying Banzai Productions and Digital Thunderdome and distributed by DREAD Pictures.
