Electric Callboy And The Offspring "Let The Good Times Roll"

The German electronicore sensation riff on The Offspring for a bouncy, SoCal summer jam. They even got Dexter Holland.

German electronicore sensation Electric Callboy are back, and this time they've enlisted Offspring frontman Dexter Holland to crank up the sunny SoCal vibes. This poppy summer jam, entitled "Let The Good Times Roll," is the latest single off the band's upcoming album, Tanzneid. Previous singles include "Elevator Operator," "Revery," and the title track, "Tanzneid." The album releases August 7th via Century Media.

If the chorus to "Let The Good Times Roll" sounds oddly familiar, that's because it interpolates the chorus from the Offspring's 2021 single "Let The Bad Times Roll." Not content to simply riff on past glories, Holland sticks around for the second verse, bridge, and outro.

We turn down the fire / We are ready to go / Keep the fans close / And lеt the good times roll / Let mе break down the wall / I'm playing favorite songs / Keep your heart out / And let the good times roll

According to Urban Dictionary, "tanzneid," which loosely translates to "dance envy," is "a complex form of envy directed at another person's freedom, authenticity, or skill in physical expression through body movement. It is defined not just by the desire to 'move like that,' but by a profound inability to do so." It's only fitting that the band, which hails from the former coal mining city of Castrop-Rauxel, would enlist the services of the man who penned "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)." What is that song if not a paean to tanzneid run amok?

In addition to a quick lyrical nod to The Offspring's 1998 megahit, the L.A.-centric music video channels plenty of the Offspring's off-beat Gen-X humor. Leave it to a band from Germany to zero in on the likes of Howie Mandel, Brian Posehn, and Nekrogoblikon when enjoying the sights and sounds of L.A.

Electric Callboy are currently on tour, hitting up the European summer festival circuit. Stops will include Rock Am Ring, Download Fest, Wacken Open Air, and more. Select dates will feature DJ sets from the band's alter ego Electric Bassboy. Fans in Japan and Australia can catch the band performing in August and September, respectively. And the band just announced the second leg of their European tour scheduled for early 2027. Joining them as special guests will be Ice Nine Kills and Coldrain.
