Electric Callboy Parts Ways With Drummer David-Karl Friedrich, Ex-Ice Nine Kills Drummer Shoots Their Shot

Friedrich is leaving the band after 13 years, though there may already be a new contender.

German electronicore outfit Electric Callboy have parted ways with their drummer David-Karl Friedrich. Based on the tone of the statement released by the band earlier this week, it appears that the split was amicable, which is refreshing to see in the year of our lord 2025.

The statement, available in both English and German on the band's socials, states:

At this time, no replacement has been confirmed, though there is one drummer who appears to be shooting his shot: Patrick Galante, who left his post with horror metal heavyweights Ice Nine Kills late last year. Since leaving his previous band, Galante has posted videos of himself covering songs across the metal world, and one of his most recent videos has featured Electric Callboy's most recent single “Elevator Operator.”
