After dropping a re-recorded version of their hit "Spit," Kittie have announced a new EP entitled Spit XXV. The metal queens have redone four songs from their landmark debut album Spit, giving the singles from the LP a new coat of paint a quarter century since their premieres.
While the original album featured co-guitarist Fallon Bowman and Tanya Candler on bass, the modern lineup sees Tara McLeod on guitars and Ivy Jenkins on bass, with Morgan and Mercedes Lander on vocals/guitars and drums, respectively. On the re-recorded version of the album that released in 2000, Talena Atfield played bass, after Candler left the band before the album's original 1999 release.
Which would make this EP a re-re-recording of sorts, if you want to get pedantic about it.
