Limp Bizkit gave fans in Ottawa a surprise throwback during their headlining set at Ottawa Bluesfest on July 10, inviting Canadian comedian, actor, podcaster, and former rapper Tom Green onstage for a performance of their 2000 hit "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)."
Before the band launched into the song, Green reflected on the period when both his career and Limp Bizkit's exploded into the mainstream through MTV. Long before becoming known for The Tom Green Show and his film work, Green got his start in music as a member of the Canadian rap group Organized Rhyme, making the guest appearance a fitting callback to that era.
Frontman Fred Durst introduced Green to a roaring hometown crowd before the pair tore through "Rollin'," with Green handling portions of the vocals and hyping up the audience throughout the performance. Fan filmed footage from the set quickly surfaced online, capturing one of the festival's most memorable moments.
The appearance came during the opening night of Limp Bizkit's latest North American run, which continues later this month with festival appearances including Rock Fest in Wisconsin and Summer of '99 in Illinois before additional dates across the United States and Canada this fall.
