While the topic of the most nu metal wrestler could be debated until the end of time, Jeff Hardy would at the very least be a solid contender. His daredevil antics and the TLC of it all made him one of the most iconic wrestlers of the 2000s, inspiring hairstyles and backyard wrestlers the world over.
Designer OCHÓ has immortalized the Charismatic Enigma in a new piece of furniture, the Swanton Table. While this may sound like a piece of medical equipment you hear spoken of in hushed tones, it is a piece of functional decor, with Jeff mid-dive, his hands and feet holding the surface of the table up.
The inspiration came from the work of Rick Owens, who sold chairs which were composed of a wax figure of himself in a position which can only described as "presenting." Fortunately, OCHÓ used a far more flattering angle for his homage to the younger Hardy.
In describing his creation, OCHÓ had the following to offer:
A split second suspended forever. Equal parts sculpture, coffee table, and tribute to one of wrestling’s most unforgettable moves.
Pre-orders are available for those inclined on Eighth Division's website. The table is fetching a $1,500 price tag for the first 150 units, after which the price is set to jump, presumably off of a ladder or scaffold.
