With years of stuntwork and deathmatch daredevilry, Mick Foley carved out a legacy in the world of professional wrestling in the Nineties. Though his time in the spotlight was somewhat limited, Foley amassed three iconic characters: the madman Cactus Jack, the hippie Dude Love, and the deranged masochist Mankind.

Given that the man has multiple personalities in a positive manner, the task of portraying him in a biopic would be a tall order, but in a new interview with The Stunner, Emmy-winning actor and reigning Progress Wrestling Proteus Champion Paul Walter Hauser has revealed that he will be doing just that.

Hauser confirms the news, stating “Yeah. No, we can we can kind of break that news. I haven’t said it yet, but I’m attached to play Mick. A limited series. We haven’t we haven’t gone out to market with it yet, but… it’s happening.” This comes after Hauser's appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, in which he said he would like to rise to the occasion, but didn't show his hand at the time.

This is wonderful news for fans of Foley, who remains one of the most enduring and beloved figures in all of pro wrestling. That's the least that can be done for the "Hardcore Legend," given his leaving an ear in Munich, his King of the Deathmatch run in IWA Japan, and of course, that fall from the Hell in a Cell in 1998.

Hauser, in addition to his acting in series such as Black Bird and films such as The Luckiest Man in America, is signed to Major League Wrestling and is the reigning Progress Wrestling Proteus Champion. He has also made appearances on All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor Wrestling. There's something to be said about method acting, as seen in his Fight Without Honor against QT Marshall, as well as his recent Proteus title match against Mad Dog Connelly.
