Just days after the 26th anniversary of their debut studio album, Slipknot appear to be teasing... something. Hard to say what, but given that the URL for the new website they've registered is the same as the intro interlude to said debut LP (742617000027.net/), maybe it has something to do with the teased anniversary edition release, as first reported by Shawn "Clown" Crahan in an interview with Metal Hammer.
And with a tagline like "Worse forwards than backwards," it's anyone's guess as to what is really going on. They've also since changed their Instagram bio to this line, further highlighting the significance of this phrase.
It's also worth pointing out that a previous teaser domain, youcantkillme.com, redirects users to this new teaser site. We love continuity in this house.
The band has also shared images of the original tape for the 1999 album on socials, as seen in the post below:
The date for whatever comes next is July 21st, so stay tuned for further updates.
