Sid Wilson Continues To Act Like Nothing Happened, Namedrops Slipknot At DJ Competition In Atlantic City

The saga of Schrödinger's DJ continues as the (allegedly) toxic turntablist goes about business as usual.

Another salvo in the Slipknot/Sid Wilson situation was offhandedly fired Monday night at the first-ever World Scratch Invitational Regional Championship in Atlantic City. During night 1 of the competition, host Lodus introduced Wilson under his turntablist alias, DJ Starscream, only for Wilson to take the mic and name-drop the multi-Platinum Grammy-winning band from which he was (allegedly) dismissed. Skip to the 7:00 mark in the below video to hear the following:

What's up y'all, Sid/DJ Starscream/#0 from the world-famous Slipknot, how are y'all doin'?

That was it; all nonchalant like this hasn't been an ongoing back-and-forth online since TMZ first broke the story two weeks ago before the band could (allegedly) make a proper statement. Guitarist Jim Root and Stacy Thompson, wife of guitarist Mick Thompson, have both weighed in on the matter. Unfortunately, their social media posts did little to clarify the situation. Just days later, Wilson broke his silence when he posted... about his new merch shop.

With this latest development, fans are no closer to knowing whether Wilson is still a part of Slipknot. Did he mention the band because he still considers himself a member? Or did he namedrop because the pioneering nu metal band remains the project for which he is most known? If it was purely a cynical attempt to make headlines, why not mention his recent messy breakup with Kelly Osbourne? Stop The Panic, Wilson's equipment company co-sponsored the event, so maybe he was just trying to keep things professional. Wilson was the only DJ in attendance wearing a suit.

For their part, none of the other major DJs in attendance made note of any Slipknot-related drama. Earlier today, SWIFTSYLE posted a pic featuring himself, Wilson, Lodus, and DJ Prolifix at the event.
