Slipknot just launched a new website, and fans are already scrambling to figure out any and every clue as to what the pioneering nu metal juggernauts have in store. The address, unlock.slipknot1.com, boasts a no-frills landing page where fans can enter their info to sign up for emails and promotional material. From there, fans are taken to a page looping a video of the band's "S" logo engulfed in flames between the "09" and "28," heavily implying something's coming next Monday, September 28th (09/28/2026). Playing underneath the flaming "S" clip is "Insert Coin," the intro track from the band's 2019 release We Are Not Your Kind.
Sporadically flashing across the screen are three black and white images. With some quick web-sleuthing, we were able to isolate the images. All three are provided below.
What's most notable about these cryptic images is that all three file names end in "2027." It's reasonable to assume whatever the band is about to announce will take place in 2027.
At the same time, fans online have noted the sudden appearance of posters with the same flaming "S" against a red background in major cities like Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Bogotá, Colombia, and Hershey, Pennsylvania. An upcoming tour that includes these cities seems the most likely outcome. Fans on the Slipknot subreddit have compiled images of this mysterious new campaign.
Between the website and these posters, many believe the announcement will be for a world tour and a new album sometime in 2027. The more jaded and cynical among the fanbase appear to have already resigned themselves to something less momentous, like new merchandise or an album reissue. Surely, given everything the band has dealt with in recent years—the exit of Craig Jones, hiring Eloy Casagrande, Sid Wilson's firing, starting their own label—they understand the kind of scrutiny that awaits their next major move.
