Wes Borland Doubles Down On Anti-Trump Comments On His 51st Birthday

The Limp Bizkit guitarist expands on recent anti-Trump remarks, revisiting long-standing political views while responding to online backlash.

After recently lashing out at Donald Trump’s administration and telling supporters to never contact him again, Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland has reinforced his stance on the occasion of his 51st birthday.

Borland used the date to reiterate his criticism, noting that despite the backlash, his intention is ultimately for “everyone to be happy.” In the same post, the guitarist again spoke out against ICE and its recent actions — which have drawn widespread media attention — while also voicing support for Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and praising the leadership of Senator Bernie Sanders.

While his call to “hail Satan” can be read through the lens of his trademark sarcasm, the broader message underscores a pointed critique of the current political climate in the United States and the administration’s approach to immigration.

It’s also worth noting that Borland’s opposition to Trump is not new. During the 2016 presidential campaign, the guitarist took to Instagram to express explicit rejection of both the candidate and his supporters, urging pro-Trump followers to unfollow him and questioning his political qualifications — particularly in the wake of the Republican National Convention that year.

Elsewhere within the band’s orbit, frontman Fred Durst also addressed Trump publicly in the past. In 2018, Durst called on the president to “stop this manipulation and raise the bar” after Trump reacted to a televised interview between journalist Jake Tapper and White House advisor Stephen Miller, which he described as a media “destruction,” later attacking CNN on social media.

Despite these individual statements, Limp Bizkit as a band has not issued an official position regarding the recent developments placing ICE and the Trump administration at the center of public debate. However, comments from its members suggest that — on a personal level — political indifference is far from the case.
