Skindred Spread Mental Health Awareness With "Big Em Up" Music Video

The Welsh icons dropped a music video for the 'You Got This' cut for mental health awareness.

Welsh ragga-metal icons Skindred have released a music video for "Big Em Up," taken from the band's latest studio album You Got This. Sonically speaking, it's a throwback to the band's older fare, with more synth presence and Benji Webbe's vocals leaning heavier into rap with a measured delivery.

The song, and by extension the video, is in honor of folks dealing with mental illness, namely depression and anxiety, with the phrase "big 'em up" used to encourage support for those who are dealing with negative thoughts and betrayals of their own brain. In true Skindred style, it's an uplifting message set to a danceable groove, standing as a feel-good track while tackling heavier subject matter.
