Just days before their European and United Kingdom tour kicks off, Spiritbox have hard launched a new era with "Mourning," a powerful track in the vein of previous efforts such as "Perfect Soul." In a break from the music videos of the Tsunami Sea era, this one is colorful and vibrant, as opposed to the intentional monochrome of the previous album cycle.
Just like the music video, the song itself has a brighter tone, with more of guitarist/producer Mike Stringer weaving guitar melodies and harmonies as only he can. It's a powerful track is "Mourning," but this leans more on the melodic end of Spiritbox's catalog.
It also serves as the first new music by the band since last year's Tsunami Sea, which is available now via Pale Chord Music. Read our review here.
