As they gear up for their US tour this spring, Atlanta's mathcore mentalists The Callous Daoboys are beginning the cycle again for what will be their fourth studio album. The announcements began over the weekend, but today, we got a 20-second clip of the new song, which we now know will be called "Gigantic Parasitic Tongue."
Frontman Carson Pace stresses that this isn't a throwaway or a B-side from a previous album cycle, but rather a "crazy song I wrote last summer."
Not a IDWTSYIH b-side btw. Just a crazy song I wrote last summer. https://t.co/yf9p2jjVsL

It's a fitting enough name with all of the staccato guitars, metallic moombahton drumming, and Carson Pace's screaming like he's just witnessed a murder. It is chaotic and compelling all at once, and we will get to hear the full track this Thursday, April 2nd.

If you have yet to get into this band, now is the time to do so. Their third LP I Don't Want To See You In Heaven, released in May 2025, was one of our top 10 nu metal albums of the year, and it appears as though Carson and Co. are not content resting on their laurels.
On the subject of not resting, the band's North American touring will commence in just a few weeks alongside Arm's Length, Harrison Gordon, and Super Sometimes, followed by two festival dates in the summer (at least that we know of). They will then be returning to Europe and the UK this November to support Enter Shikari alongside Holding Absence.
