As the great philosopher Lemmy Kilmister once sang, "they say music is the food of love." What the "Ace of Spades" singer could never have foreseen was someone singing while making food with a band behind him and a wok in front of him. Such is the case, however, with TORWAI.
The Thai outfit is cooking in more ways than one, as their singer is making a full dish in a wok while singing and screaming his heart out. Guitarist Talan Nomwongka improvs a lick in the second first, and while it's difficult to find any more identifying info on the drummer (notwithstanding that he's in a motocross helmet, which is certainly a choice), this is the right side of ridiculous.
All the while, the singer is making tom kha gai a Thai coconut chicken soup, which they describe in the video's description as "a rich, creamy, and aromatic Thai soup. It offers a perfect balance of sour, salty, and sweet flavors. You’ll experience the velvety richness of coconut milk contrasted with the tangy zest of lime juice, all infused with the earthy scent of galangal and lemongrass."
All I'm saying is that there's a business opportunity here. If I walked into a restaurant and saw the chef doing his best Serj Tankian while making the food, I'm sold. We'll be keeping an eye on these guys, and gods help us if one of the Agenda finds their way to Thailand.
