TORWAI Throws Down In The Kitchen While Singing Sleep Token's "Caramel"

As one commenter put it, "wok beside me."

Sleep Token seem to be one of the more divisive bands in all of heavy music, but at least it seems folks can agree on this: the cover of "Caramel" by Thai kitchen concertos TORWAI is a joy to watch. It might be the one time I don't mind reading through the comment section, as people make puns like "don't stick to the pan like caramel" and "Shrimp Token."

It's just a nice change of pace, y'know?

The fact that the singer can knock out the second verse while cooking in a wok, in those robes that are so close to the flame (one might say they're dancing along to the rhythm...), and singing/rapping in not his mother tongue, it's all damn impressive. Even if you aren't a fan of Sleep Token, the cover here is more than serviceable, and the Jason Voorhees mask-donning drummer has some chops to boot.

There may not be a full band here like in their "Sugar" cover, but hell with it, this is fun. And if they're going with sweet themes for their covers, might we suggest something Chocolate Starfish related? Or hey, how about a terra cotta pie (HEY!)?
