"You don't have to know the words; you just need to know two of 'em!" shouts vocalist Bryan Garris, getting the Louisville crowd ready for what's next. "It's hive. Mind. Everybody get the fuck up!"
Grammy-nominated metalcore sensation Knocked Loose's star has continued to rise in the wake of their acclaimed breakthrough album, 2024's You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To, and the hit collaboration with rapper Denzel Curry, "Hive Mind." And now, hot off of their tour with metal legends Metallica, the band has released a professionally shot video of their performance of genre-bending opus "Hive Mind" at this year's Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky.
The band originally hail from Oldham, Kentucky—a mere 22 miles from Louisville—and the hometown energy is palpable. There's an electricity in the air the moment Garris says the track's title. Brilliantly directed by Danny Wimmer Presents, this latest live video shows the band and the crowd in full force. If anything, the live setting only adds to the power of the track. The call-and-response from the packed crowd lends a weight behind every "Hive! Mind!' that no studio recording can match. And, of course, the track's irony-drenched "Jump when they say jump" hits exponentially harder with a crowd this hyped.
Knocked Loose recently began the North American leg of their co-headlining Hive Mind Tour with Curry and special guests Superheaven and Boundaries. The tour will include a special stop at Sick New World in Fort Worth on October 24th. Looking ahead, the band's 2027 tour calendar is quickly taking shape, with recent additions including the headlining spot at Froth & Fury Festival in Adelaide, South Australia, taking part in A Day To Remember's Big Ole Boat Show, and slots at Wacken Open Air, Brutal Assault, and Leyendas del Rock. Tickets are on sale now. Hive Mind, rise up!
