For all the grief that can be given to the WWE these days, their video production team is top of the line, and damn near always has been. One such example of their work is the "Desire" music video, a supercut of moments from the Attitude Era of the late Nineties and early Aughts soundtracked by Creed's "My Sacrifice." Highlighted is the Invasion, the storyline that saw WCW and ECW integrated into programming following both companies' respective downfalls in 2001.
This isn't meant to stoke debate over wrestling being best around this time, but it is the nostalgic flashpoint for many, particularly now that we're 25 years out from what may have been the greatest WrestleMania of all time, WrestleMania X-Seven. Perhaps it is because of the existence of two high-profile wrestling companies in WWE and AEW that folks long for the days of the vaunted Monday Night War of pro wrestling.
