Japanese metallers coldrain made their comeback this past March, announcing their signing with Century Media Records and releasing the post-grunge-tinged "Incomplete" shortly thereafter. Now the band have released their second single this year in the electric "Chasing Shadows."
The song is blast of energy, with Masato's soaring vocals and Katsuma's snare-happy drumming driving things forward. Had this song been released about 20 years ago, it wouldn't sound out of place with any of its alt-metal ilk, and would be prime AMV material to boot.

The band is set for a "Summer in Germany" with a series of shows in the country beginning Friday, August 8th in Eschwege and concluding at Reload Festival in Sulingen next Friday, August 15th. They will then set out on a tour of their native Japan in late September and early October, before a European tour through the last two months of 2025.
