Don't we all just wanna be content creators? Who gives a fuuuuuuuck when or where you create that content just create it! Get that clip! Throw your phone on stage! Attend a Limp Bizkit show and fly your stupid drone directly into the singer's face! Best case scenario he smacks it into the dirt and you can go even more viral!
During a performance of "Take A Look Around" in Istanbul some idiot did just that and you can see it happen by skipping to 04:21 in that clip up there. Such is the insidious nature of content creation, even the worst outcomes can still be mined for virality. Just getting the shot of Fred doing the song is fine but a clip of him slapping it out of his face means your footage goes viral, footage of the drone goes viral, articles about the drone go viral (hey fingers crossed!) and everyone's a little more dull for the effort. Thus, even negative articles about the topic encourage its happening because we're deep in the engagement era of social media which means the pursuit of big internet numbers at all costs.
Anyway don't do this alright? I remember when the most annoying thing about modern concert going was phones now we gotta watch our personal airspace for drones too.
