Halsey and Amy Lee are going to the movies. The alt-pop powerhouse and the Evanescence frontwoman are teaming up for a new song, to be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Ballerina, a spinoff of the action film franchise John Wick. Starring Ana de Armas and directed by Len Wiseman, the film also holds the honor of being Lance Reddick's final role before his passing. Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard return to score the film.
This marks new music from both Halsey and Evanescence within a year of their most recent releases. For the former, their album The Great Impersonator released on October 25, 2024. The latter had their new song "Afterlife" featured on the soundtrack for Netflix's adaptation of Devil May Cry. Halsey has made their love of Amy Lee apparent, as in the promotion for their most recent album The Great Impersonator, the singer paid homage to Lee's iconic cover photo for Evanescence's seminal album Fallen. “Lonely is the Muse” from the aforementioned album was somewhat goth-tinged, further showing the ties that bind, and perhaps previewing the collaboration before it was even announced.

From The World of John Wick: Ballerina hits theaters on June 6th, 2025.
