As promised, the nu metal baddies from Vegas are back, this time with an assist from Orlando rockers Magnolia Park, for their new single "AFTERLIFE." The momentum has been steadily building for both groups: this is the newest single from The Pretty Wild's upcoming debut album zero.point.genesis and Magnolia Park recently saw their single "Shallow," the latest single from their album VAMP, enter the Billboard charts.
Sisters Jules and Jyl had this to say in a press release:
"'AFTERLIFE' circles the idea of star-crossed souls bound by something ancient and unbreakable. Conceptually it's plucked from the kind of love you find in mythology and old tragedies, where you have this obsessive devotion and destruction. It isn't perfect, but it's dark, beautiful, and eternal." – Jules
"'AFTERLIFE' explores the idea that love dynamics are rooted in codependent magnetism and resonance patterns. It asks, what happens when obsession doesn't end with death, but carries your soul into magnetising eternal dynamics? The result is kinda tragic and romantically glitchy. It's basically a pop-metal requiem." – Jyl
The album, which also features singles "PARADOX," "Omens," "Button Eyes," and "living ded" drops November 21st on Sumerian Records. Physical copies will include viral sensation "sLeepwALKeR."
Starting October 28th, fans can catch The Pretty Wild on tour with Set It Off and, starting next February, supporting Sleep Theory on the band's first headlining European and UK tour. Magnolia Park kick off their tour in support of From Ashes To New starting October 31, followed by a string of European and UK dates in December and next June.
