In the wake of the horrific murder of Renee Nicole Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross, Ice-T and his band Body Count have taken a stand in their own way, and the rap-metal progenitors know ball.
At a recent show, the band adapted the song "Cop Killer," the controversial track from their 1992 debut album, into "ICE Killer," something that rings all too resonant with the recent murder of a civilian and mother of three, Renee Good, by an ICE agent named Jonathan Ross.
Of course, the song has always been a flashpoint for conservative pearl-clutching, to the point where the band removed the song from the aforementioned LP following its first printing. Finding a version with the track still on it is something of a white whale for collectors of physical media.
Can't wait to see all of the modern conservatives accuse the man behind Detective Fin Tutuola of going "woke." You know, like they did for actual Harvard poli-sci graduate Tom Morello.

Fans have celebrated the move, noting that Ice-T has always been a real one, standing up for justice in the face of racism, police brutality, and general bigotry. Some comments go as far as to take pot shots at Snoop Dogg, who played the Donald Trump inauguration last January despite having previously slammed Trump on social media.
Body Count have several festival appearances planned for 2026, including:
05/16 Columbus, OH @ Sonic Temple
08/06 Jaromer, CZ @ Brutal Assault
08/07 Kortrijk, BE @ Alcatraz Festival
08/08 Tilburg, NL @ 013 Poppodium
08/09 Catton Park Derbyshire, UK @ Bloodstock Festival
08/20 Charleville-Mezieres, FR @ Cabaret Vert
