Joey Jordison's VIMIC Close In On $100K For 'Open Your Omen' Kickstarter, Will Play LA Reunion Show in October

The late drummer described the to-be-posthumously-released album as "the rebirth of the rest of my life."

After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the world will finally get to hear Vimic's Open Your Omen, after tragedy put the album on the shelves for seven years. Joey Jordison's industrial/groove metal project recorded parts of the album, but between the death of the album's producer Kato Khandwala in 2018 and Jordison's own passing in 2021, it seemed as though the release would not see the light of day.

At time of publication, the campaign, put on by the family of Joey Jordison, has raised close to $100,000USD, with over 1,000 people backing the project. Those still interested in backing may do so with a Late Pledge, but the race to the goal has been called, and the album will be moving forward thanks to that.

In addition to the album, which is set for release this fall, the surviving members of Vimic will put on a benefit concert at the Teragram Ballroom on October 3rd, 2025. Wednesday 13, horror punk master and Jordison's longtime collaborator in Murderdolls, has already been announced as participating in the concert, with more guests to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
