Poppy And SoWhen? Unveil 'Poppy Secret Run' Fortnite Experience

In hindsight, it was only a matter of time before Poppy wound up in Fortnite. Back in 2014, the multifaceted singer/songwriter/YouTuber gained notoriety for her video series satirizing internet culture, and now, in collaboration with SoWhen? Studios, she's creating her own in-game experience in the Fortnite universe.

Starting Friday, October 23rd, fans can access Poppy Secret Run, a month-long "interactive musical journey" through a performance of Poppy's single "Time Will Tell" off her album Empty Hands. Taking cues from the Orie McGinness-directed music video for "Time Will Tell," fans can make their way through Poppy Secret Run on one of two paths, the Light and the Dark, with two versions of Poppy. Exclusive in-game content will include a performance-only mode, never before shared Poppy lore, and more surprises throughout the month. Her sphynx cat, Pi, even makes an appearance. Poppy Secret Run will be available through November 23rd.

This is far from Poppy's first brush with the world of gaming. Her music has appeared in such games as WWE 2K20 and Roblox. Most recently, in March, she teamed up with Son Lux for the song "In Death We've Just Begun" as featured in Bungie Studio's Marathon. Previously, SoWhen collaborated with Carpenter Brut on May's retro-futuristic Turbo Killer Experience.

At the end of the month, Poppy can be seen at the Boulet Brothers' Los Angeles Halloween Ball. On November 28th, she'll open for Evanescence at in Malaysia. And in December, she'll take part in Knotfest in Mexico City. Lastly, she was just added to the lineup for next year's Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Tickets are on sale now.
