One Year of What's Nu? Magazine - A Letter of Recommendation

You will also never have to worry about long lunch breaks for they only need one popcorn

To whom it may concern,

For the entirety of my professional career so far and, I anticipate, for the rest of it I have been chasing people around. Chasing around these professionals as they whinny and wail about hitting the deadlines that they themselves set. I have shown such mercy, I understand life intervenes, but I have to chase regardless before we go crashing into the solid brick wall of obligation together.

There is one professional, however, I have never had to do this for.

For the last 12 consecutive months; Dest has put a completed zine on my desk, ready to ship, and have yet to miss a single deadline. They have done this without fuss, without complaint, without hitch. From writing, to editing, to design, to manufacture, to shipping; Dest has handled it all with aplomb. They have established relationships with an assortment of talented up-and-coming artists and given them a place to see their hard work pay off in print. It is, hands down, the most impressive show of professional excellence I have ever seen in my career. They're not even old enough to rent a car, yet outperforming previous co-workers of mine that own two. Today, we celebrated their magazine, What's Nu?, with its one year anniversary issue. To nobody's surprise (but plenty of appreciation) it was turned in on time and ready to go yesterday afternoon.

If you're reading this and have the opportunity to work with Dest I am strongly recommending you take it. Even beyond just being consistent, Dest is incredibly creative, resourceful (they make the entire magazine on their phone) and overall a joy to work with. It has been a privilege to watch them flourish over these last 12 months and, if they're this exceptional now, I cannot imagine how much more exceptional they're about to become. Take this opportunity to see for yourself before it's too late because I do anticipate their skills will be in high demand very soon.

Sincerely,

Holiday Kirk

p.s. Actually, now that I think about it, we need Dest to remain full time here so I take back everything I said they're a horrible employee and will burn your business to the ground if left unsupervised thank you
