Juggalos, scum, and the ladies, fellas, and people who don't give a fuck finally have an answer to why Shaggy 2 Dope of Insane Clown Posse tried (and failed) in dropkicking Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit.
In a Christmas installment of Hot Ones Versus, the members of Insane Clown Posse and GWAR answered questions on several pieces of Juggalo lore. This including who was one of the worst people to work at a show, the origin of legendary Faygo showers and Shaggy 2 dope's dropkick incident with Durst.
“Well, alcohol was involved. That was done as a work — [a] wrestling work dropkick — I wasn’t actually trying to dropkick him for real. I don’t know why in my drunk brain, I just figured that he was also a wrestler and he’d know to ‘sell’ the move. He didn’t sell it… How he sold it was their security came out and choked me out onstage and dragged me out. I’ve apologized a million times over since. I feel like a dumbass of course for doing that shit.”
It seems like this moment of drunken debauchery, while not taken well in the moment, was 100% out of love rather than spite. The two eventually squashed the beef thanks to legendary wrestler The Iron Sheik burying the moment on his Twitter.
