Vana Unveils Music Video For "In Your Name"

New Zealand singer/songwriter Vana (pronounced VAH-NAH) has just unveiled the music video for her latest single, "In Your Name." When last we heard from the Anaheim-based musician and content creator, the track had hit streaming platforms and her Lady In Red Tour switched in Chandler Leighton and Eyes Set To Kill after cloudyfield was forced to exit due to visa issues.

Now, Vana has returned with a music video for "In Your Name," the second single from her debut full-length album. Her The still-untitled album arrives via Sumerian Records and "will introduce a dystopian fantasy world rooted in dark femininity, villainy, and the perspective of the misunderstood."

Working once again with director Tanner James Gordon, "In Your Name" shifts from the nocturnal, gothic imagery of "Pray" to earthy folk horror. Vana and Gordon opt for a slow burn approach that plays against the more immediate, dark grandeur of the track. While the song, co-written and co-produced by Vincent Ernst (Magnolia Park), steadily layers on the atmosphere and heavy guitars, the video saves the real darkness for the final section, exploding into a fiery nightmare as Vana and her band go full tilt.

In addition to Chandler Leighton and Eyes Set To Kill, The Lady In Red Tour features support from Deadlands and RedHook. Fans can catch Vana this fall as part of the Vans Warped Tour in D.C., Long Beach, and Orlando, and at Louder Than Life and Knotfest in Mexico City.
