Eddie Kingston, Chikara legend and puroresu aficionado, returned to All All Elite Wrestling last month at All Out after over a year on the shelf. Fortunately, his entrance music was not changed, as can be the case with some wrestlers, but rather upgraded, as AEW Music, headed up by Mikey Rukus, have released a remastered version of "Cold World."
The song plays like a remixed DMX track, with overlapping gruff vocals, a prominent pipe organ, and palm-muted guitars driving the anthem along. Given that, as some fans pointed out in the comment section, Kingston tends to just book it to the ring inside of thirty seconds, hearing the full song is a bit of a rarity, and that's where Rukus and AEW Music have us covered. It's a pumping, no-nonsense track fitting of the "Mad King" and former North American Triple Crown Champion.
It may be the most nu metal theme on AEW television today, and given Rukus' background, that is saying something, as evidenced by our list from earlier this year.
