Open Up The Mozz Pit: The "What The Fuck Is Up, Denny's" Band Is Back! (To Sell A Burger.)

After thirteen long years, Texas hardcore band Live Without is back at Denny. They might even play a show.

"What the fuck is up, Denny's?"

With that surprising assemblage of words, Live Without, a young hardcore band from Houston, Texas, would soon become the stuff of internet legend. A video of the band pumping up a crowd of rowdy teenagers at a local Denny's diner immediately went viral. Both the band's command of the crowd and the ensuing frenzy of pale limbs and cargo shorts made for an indelible video. Rarely had teenage suburban unrest been captured so vividly.

And now, after thirteen long years, Live Without have returned to Denny's. The chain, first established in 1953 in Lakewood, California, as Danny's Donuts, has summoned the band to commemorate the release of the new Mozz Pit Burger. This new sandwich features a 100% beef patty and melted American cheese on a brioche bun with mozzarella sticks smooshed on top. Unfortunately(?), this is a limited time offer: the Mozz Pit burger is available now through June 2nd at select locations in Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami.

In 2026, it hardly matters that this is all in service of pushing the latest fast-food concoction—likely in an effort to stem the tide of another looming recession. It's certainly less flimsy than enlisting Nickelback because the name rhymes with the sentence fragment "pickle back." If nothing else, this occasion marks the first new music from Live Without since their 2020 EP Mannequin. Again, that's much preferable to reworking the lyrics to "How You Remind Me" (a song that was never good). And hey, if the posts get 500k likes, the band will do a live show.

You wanna stuff you fuckin' gullet?! / Drippin' grease and melted cheese / One last move / Mozz Pit!

The song, titled "WTFIUD," is shockingly forthright about the whole scenario. "You wanna stuff your fuckin' gullet? Drippin' grease and melted cheese," barks lead singer/guitarist Kriss. That complete lack of pretense is why this music—and that viral clip—will live on long after many of us have succumbed to heart disease and other weight-related conditions.

Check out the music video for "WTFIUD" below.

Live Without's EP Mannequin is available on streaming services everywhere.
