In the year of our lord 2026, pit etiquette is still very much a thing, despite what a handful of would-be pugilists might try to do. Someone gets knocked over, you help them up, don't put anyone in harm's way if you can help it, and generally, just don't be a shithead.
More than can be said for one asshole in Phoenix, Arizona, as was pointed out by Spiritbox drummer Zev Rose and called attention to by vocalist Courtney LaPlante. LaPlante stops the show to put an end to "some fuckery about," noting that Rose is higher up than the rest of the band, being on the risers. Courtney then asks the crowd to point out the offender, at which point guitarist/producer Mike Stringer assists in helping scan the audience.
Apparently the dude thought it was a good idea to hide in the bathroom, to which Courtney succinctly insists, "Guess what, fucker? We all saw you, we know where you are. Your ass is about to get kicked the fuck out." She then turns to check on a fan who was hit, reminding folks that "this isn't a fuckin' gold metal karate match, this is a rock and roll show."
