Blissey > Chester?

The medic of the Pokemon world is wanting to be put out of her fucking misery.

This year marks 30 years since the debut of Pokémon, and with the ports of Firered and Leafgreen to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 and a new generation coming next year, the celebration is well underway. Generation 4 launched with Diamond and Pearl, released on April 22, 2007 in North America. One month later, Linkin Park released their third studio album Minutes to Midnight, which features the iconic scream by co-vocalist Chester Bennington on the song "Given Up."

One feature of the fourth-gen Pokémon games was the slow-draining HP bar, which was especially problematic for a creature like Blissey, the gen 2 tank that could reach 714 HP if the stats and natures are just right at level 100. Content creator A Gamer's Basement put this to the test, putting the drain of the bar against Chester's iconic scream, a trend that has made the rounds lately, as seen by AEW's Buddy Matthews, among others.

Gen 4 pacing was…something 😅

Just to point out the flaw here, the attacking Infernape isn't at full level, and while 99 is damn close to 100, it isn't so. For a series that loves its Professors, the science is off here, Gamer's Basement.

Still though, this is a fun look at the Pokémon games from nearly two decades ago. And hey, at least those had a greater and more sensible split between physical and special moves, unlike gen 3. The real ones remember.
