Last night was the first installment of WWE WrestleMania 42 from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV, and one of the biggest surprises of the show was the return of Paige (formerly Saraya in AEW). The Norwich native subbed in for an injured Nikki Bella, who was set to partner with twin sister Brie in a fatal four-way match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
Alicia Taylor, wife of Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor and founder of the dance group Cherry Bombs, posted a video to her Instagram last night of her and Corey celebrating Paige's return to WWE after over seven years away. Her last match in the company was in the tail end of 2017, with her initial retirement being announced ahead of 2018's WrestleMania.
The connection runs deep between Paige and the Taylors, as Alicia's troupe is involved heavily in the rock and metal world. Paige's past partners include A Day to Remember's Kevin Skaff and (ugh) Falling in Reverse's Ronnie Radke, the latter of whom lost a lawsuit to Anthony Fantano, something we won't let anyone forget about anytime soon.
