Sie ist ein Berliner, and Mimi Barks is bringing her signature "doom trap" sound across the globe. Her new EP Dreamstate of Hell drops next month, and ahead of its release, she's dropped a German-language hip-hop banger in "Power durch Verrat" (Power Through Betrayal). Sonically speaking, it's firmly in the trap realm, but with dissonant guitars, doomy drums, and an uneasy soundscape to go with Barks' bars and howls, it's something completely fresh and raw.
Pulsating and pissed-off, Barks has a banger on her hands here.
