The track had no proper guitar solo, but what if?

The guitar work on Novelists' newest track "Ravage" is something to behold, as the track blends technical wizardry with an unmatched groove thanks to guitarists Pierre Danel and Florestan Durand. The former posted a video recently in which he plays for us a solo that could have featured in the track, were there one. With harmonics, legatos, and the odd sweep-picking, Danel shred through a quick and dirty solo, and while the song absolutely did not need one, this glimpse into what could have been is a welcome one.

Check out the clip for yourself below:

With their last album having been released last year, and "Ravage" being their latest track, we may well be hearing more Novelists soon. This may track, as they have recently wrapped up their support run alongside The Devil Wears Prada, and are now gearing up for a headlining gig in their native Paris on April 23rd, 2027, as well as their appearance at next year's Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park.
