No Cure And Carson Pace (The Callous Daoboys) Hope You Find Peace "When The Spasms Cease"

The 'Daoboys frontman cameos in the music video for this latest brutal track from the straight edge metalcore band's debut full-length.

Birmingham straight edge metalcore band No Cure just released the music video for "When The Spasms Cease," and smack in the middle of the clip's workplace ennui is none other than Callous Daoboys frontman Carson Pace. The music video depicts the endless indignities of the nine-to-five office grind, with Pace cameoing as a manager reviewing quarterly projections who can't even be bothered to put on pants. While Pace does not appear on the track, like he did with The Frst back in May, it's still fun to see him pop up. The track is the third single from the band's debut full-length, It Is Going To Get Dark, which releases Friday, July 10th, via SharpTone Records.

In addition to Pace, the video, directed by the band and Nick Chance, also features members of Briteside, Bareknuckle, Mychildren Mybride, Camacho, and By My Side. Briteside vocalist Claire Gardner, in particular, makes a strong impression as the callous boss with no qualms about getting physical. While the track's lyrics could apply to a wealth of horrors in nightmarish capitalist society, the video makes the message concrete with a litany of painfully relatable scenarios/HR violations.

The failure of man / Rented bodies kept for gold / Pulled apart and under control / Never ask yourself how much lower they can go / The enemy has teeth for a soul

Coinciding with the release of It Is Going To Get Dark, No Cure will embark on their headlining A Darkness Is Spreading Across America Tour starting July 9th in Baltimore. Joining them for the tour will be special guests Big Ass Truck, Bayway, and Boltcutter. In September, the band will make their first-ever trek to Australia to join Algor Mortis and Bloodmouth as special guests for To The Grave on their Nail Australia To The Walls Tour. Finally, in December, No Cure will perform two shows on Thrown's EU/UK tour along with special guests Counterpart and HEAVENSGATE. Tickets are available now.

Meanwhile, The Callous Daoboys are plenty busy touring and writing new music. The Atlanta band is currently finishing up a string of summer festivals in the UK amid work on the follow-up to their acclaimed 2025 album I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven. In September, the band will kick off their Heaven Across America Tour Pt. 2 with special guests KaonashiGirl of Glass, and Welded Steel. During that run they'll also have a special show with HEALTH and hit up Riot Fest. And in November, they'll tour Europe and the UK with Enter Shikari and Holding Absence.
