'Sentenced To Become A Hero' Uses Spiritbox's "Soft Spine" In Its Trailer

The breakout adaptation of Rocket Shokai's story has a back-breaking new trailer thanks to Spiritbox's Grammy-nominated track.

Anime and heavy music are frequent bedfellows, turns out, and with one of Crunchyroll's newest offerings, the trend has continued. Sentenced To Be A Hero, based on the light novel by Rocket Shokai, has a new trailer making the rounds soundtracked by Spiritbox's crushing song "Soft Spine," which recently earned the band their third GRAMMY nomination.

The synopsis for the series is as follows: "A dark fantasy where Heroes-criminals sentenced to heroism service in a penal military unit-must wage war against a demon king's army." Early reactions to the show are overwhelmingly positive, with a report from Forbes detailing the show's 9.4 out of 10 rating for its premiere, with Crunchyroll users giving it a perfect 5 star rating as well.

Hopefully we get some more heaviness to go along with the show's soundtrack and promotional materials, but using the searing rage and aggression from Courtney LaPlante and Co. to start out is a pretty good foot in the door.
