Binging With Babish Makes Evanescence Reference In Latest Ranking Video

Andrew Rea aka Binging With Babish threw the nu world a bone in his latest video.

To the best of our knowledge - and we're sure the nu world will correct us if this isn't true - Andrew Rea, known to the YouTube world as Binging With Babish and namesake of the Babish Culinary Universe (BCU), has never really made a reference to nu metal in all of his time on the internet. Several kitchens, hundreds of videos, and numerous film and television recipes recreated and re-interpreted, and not even a banana terracotta pie.

All I'm saying is that Mythical Kitchen did it for Serj Tankian.

In any case, Babish broke the spell in his latest upload to his second channel Beyond Babish, in which he does a ranking of every widely-available frozen burrito. From Trader Joe's to Amy's to 365 and everything inbetween, Rea taste tested each one, and even made an Evanescence reference along the way. When discussing the finer points of one Amy's Organic Beans & Rice Burrito (Non-Dairy), Rea offers the following critique:

"I wish they would put some kind of non-dairy cheese in there. Throw some vegan queso in there, wake me up inside. Save me from the nothing I've become."

The final line of that tongue-in-cheek nod to the alt-metal icons was delivered with a filter as seen in the header of this very article, in a riff on the iconic Fallen album cover.

Babish's brim-filled burrito breakdown can be viewed below, with the Evanescence gag starting at around 5:30:
