True crime-inspired nu industrial duo SKYND are set to release their new song "Jimmy Savile," named for the British media personality and sexual deviant whose reign of terror stretched across decades, this Friday, July 31st. The song will feature EBM producer SWARM, and is set to kick off Chapter VIII of their investigation.
The first teaser of the song itself has been dropped, in a new clip posted to their socials, which you can see below:
In a new post to their socials today (July 29th), the upcoming chapter has been subtitled "The Open Secret." It is intended to highlight the monsters hiding in plain sight, those who seem to be virtuous externally but have skeletons piled in their closets. As SKYND explain it:
This new chapter is about power, about abuse, and about a system protecting its most valued figures through silence. Everyone knew, and still nobody spoke up or tried to stop it. We go into different cases, different settings, different decades.
We chose these cases with care, to help understand the darkness and dysfunction behind them. Dive into this dark place carefully.
SKYND have yet to announce a new tour, but they will be playing Wacken Open Air Festival this weekend.
